Pain: Poetry

Once I dove
inside your turquoise eyes
and breathed within your smile,
held my wishes inside your kisses
and grew misty on your guile

I never knew that I'd revisit
each moment in your embrace
when I emerged from the abyss
and stood alone in the disgrace

I let you break me, shape me, mold me
into some pliable shell
I trusted you would hold me
through any heaven, every hell

And I keep bleeding cyanide tears,
dying in bits and pieces and parts
Because after all these years
I've yet to mend my broken heart

You are my pain.
