Absolution: Poetry

I've gone the route of misdirection,
pounded flesh and bone to dust
In those moments I heeded nothing
and no one did I trust

I wandered by the river as a beggar
while my life remained the same;
To myself I've been a stranger,
yet the wind recalled my name

So now the lesson is forthcoming
I've linger in meditation by the shore;
Absolution now approaches
to wash me clean forever more.
