Succumbing to Silence: Poetry

Doubt left Her,
this thought that She could not fly;
the heights existing in Her dreams
beckoned with the greetings of ancestors

Her belief in optimism
outweighed the darkness;
the Great Scale tipped towards the feather,
the Heart became weightless

It wasn't Courage she summoned
with Her quaking footsteps;
Light erupted as the mental cage
collapsed in on Itself:

The Way
of Succumbing to the Silence.
