These Erected Moments: Poetry

The Lightning blinded
in a flash of recognition
as the darkness swallowed
the crimson antidote
of a Heart made alive

Dank and foreboding,
the churning, frothy foam
of unknown landscapes
sculpted themselves into being
by skeletal hands fleshed out
by the ash of eternal dust

While Truth bathed its skin
underneath subterranean tears
that ran backwards in time
towards hurts and hells circumscribed

Yet these erected moments faded
into oblivion, then nothingness
both frail and strong
at the core of who she was

And beyond them was a fear
that these footsteps would be
the last ones She'd ever know...
